Wilton Rotary Family Carnival Supports Local Community Projects

If you didn't have a chance to enjoy the Rotary's carnival today, there's always tonight and tomorrow!

The Wilton Rotary Club will again sponsor its traditional family carnival from Sept. 14-16 at the corner of School Road and Route 7.  The event is a fundraiser that benefits the Wilton Rotary Club’s community improvement projects both locally and internationally.

Carnival is open until 10 pm tonight and Sunday, Sept. 16, Noon – 5 pm.  Staged by Tufano Amusements, the carnival will offer 14 different rides for a variety of ages as well as multiple games of chance.  Two delicious food trucks will be on site:  Bubble and Brew will be brewing up Specialty Teas, Bubble Teas, Espresso drinks and fresh baked goods.  DrewbaQ will serve up scrumptious pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, mac n’ cheese, cornbread and more smoked BBQ delights.

Admission and parking are free. Wristbands for unlimited rides will be sold for $25 each for the following time slots:  Friday 6-10 pm, Saturday 12-5 pm, Saturday 5-10 pm, and Sunday 12-5 pm.  Individual ride tickets are also available.  Members of the Rotary Club will be manning the ticket booth and assisting with wristbands.

Rotary Carnival chair Patrick Russo said, “This is a wonderful family-friendly event that’s fun for all ages.  The rides are great and the games test your skill at winning prizes.  We’ll have a lot of good food to offer, plus it’s a terrific way to start off the school year.  The carnival is Rotary’s biggest fundraiser, and all proceeds go back into the community to support needed projects as well as global humanitarian programs led by Rotary International.  So be sure to come out and join us over carnival weekend.”

Rotary Club of Wilton is a service club of volunteers with a goal of providing support and funding for local community improvement projects, non-profit agencies, youth leadership initiatives, international humanitarian programs, polio eradication worldwide, and high ethical standards in business.  The club has awarded over $500,000 in grants and gifts to the Wilton community.  The club meets every Friday for lunch at Rolling Hills Country Club.
