Acai bowl and smoothie shop set to open in Wilton

A new acai bowl and smoothie shop, SoBol, is set to open at 5 River Road in Wilton, across from Bowtie Wilton 4 and Starbucks. "Construction is happening behind these doors ... we can't wait to open! Stay tuned for updates," the SoBol Wilton team announced on Facebook.

"At SoBol, we take frozen acai berries, strawberries, bananas and a splash of soy to create our perfected smoothie-like puree that centers every acai bowl," the company explains.

The new rage, acai (pronounced"AH-SIGH-EEEE") small super fruit that grows on the acai palm tree, native to the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. The acai berry is packed with several superfood benefits and antioxidants that serve as natural anti-aging and energy boosting agents.

SoBol will also offer pitaya bowls. "If you don’t know what Pitaya is... it’s pretty incredible! A super fruit native to Central and South America and Southeast Asia. Also known as “dragon fruit”, pitaya is filled with several antioxidants that help boost immunity, body metabolism and a smoother digestive system," team Sobol says.
