Today, Wilton High School Principal Dr. O'Donnell alerted the school community to thefts from cars and reported that Wilton Police Department will increase patrols. Please read her message below or click here.
On Friday afternoon, January 14, thieves stole catalytic converters from four student cars parked in the junior lot. These thefts occurred between 12:00 and 2:55. The thieves cut the catalytic converters from the pipes underneath the cars. The incident remains under investigation with the Wilton Police Department. According to the Wilton Police Department, stealing catalytic converters from cars is a relatively common occurrence as the converters are valuable.
This brazen act in broad daylight is concerning. The Wilton Police Department will increase patrols of the north and south lots. We ask all members of the school community to heighten their awareness and remain vigilant to protect our school community. If you see any concerning behaviors or actions on campus or in the parking lots don't approach the situation. We recommend that you either call 911 or the main Wilton Police number, 203-834-6260. You can reach the WHS Administration at the school main office number, 203-762-0381. It is helpful if you can provide a description of what you witnessed and obtain license plate numbers of any suspicious vehicles on campus.
Thank you for your support and efforts to ensure school safety.
