Letter: Annie Chochos for Wilton Board of Education

To The Editor,

I am writing to you today as the Director of Create Learning Center and as a witness to the relentless dedication, passion, and commitment of an exceptional individual, Annie Chochos, who is running for a position on our Board of Education.

I had the pleasure of first meeting Annie in 2015 when she moved to Wilton and was seeking a preschool for her son, Peter. Her passion was evident from our first conversation, and from that day onward, our mutual love for children and education has fostered a strong and enduring friendship.

Annie was a consistent support both to myself and the staff for the 4 years Peter attended Create. Annie always made herself available for any and all help we needed, supported all our efforts to grow and provided us with her organizational expertise.

She spent time as the Miller-Driscoll PTA Co-President from 2019 to 2021. Annie was a constant presence, volunteering as the school's room representative and actively participating in PTA meetings. Her commitment to every school community her family became part of did not stop there. She also extended her volunteering efforts to her Greek Orthodox church, where she held the position of PTO Greek School President and was a crucial member of several committees.

One of Annie's most notable roles was as a Miller-Driscoll Library Representative. Here, she skillfully assisted librarians and students, helping children select books and meticulously organizing the library. This role, she mentioned, was her favorite, and her passion and enthusiasm in this capacity were evident to all who worked alongside her.

In all the years I have known Annie, she has always been open to listening, discussing, and resolving any issues or concerns with care and compassion. Her willingness to learn and adapt has empowered her to equip her child with the tools needed to thrive in education. It has been a learning journey for us both, and I have gained much from our exchanges and shared experiences.

With great confidence and heartfelt support, I recommend Annie Chochos for the Board of Education. Her unwavering commitment to our children, our schools, and our community makes her an ideal candidate.

Sincerely,

Sharon Cowley
