Aquarion Water Company and Eversource, with oversight by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT), will continue work installing utility pipes along New Canaan Road (Route 106) starting Monday, March 3, 2025, weather permitting.
Bridge Closure & Detour Information
- Work will begin at the bridge on the Wilton/New Canaan town line.
- The bridge will be closed Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- The estimated project duration is 4-5 months.
- The detour route for vehicles traveling into New Canaan on Route 106 will be via Route 7 to Route 123 (Norwalk) and back to Route 106 (New Canaan) during work hours. (Refer to the detour map in the link below.)
- Bus stops will remain in their current locations.
- Emergency vehicles will have immediate access through the work area.
