Ms President US is excited to announce its Signature Campaign and Election Event on Sunday, April 6th, at the Clune Center for the Arts at Wilton High School.
This event will feature young female leaders from 12 Connecticut towns—Bethel, Bridgeport, Danbury, Fairfield, Hamden, Monroe, New Haven, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Westport, Wilton, and Woodbridge—presenting their campaign platforms as they vie to be elected Ms President US of their respective communities.
The candidates will address critical issues such as social media overuse, teen mental health, and school lunch policies.
Connecticut Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas, a dedicated advocate for civic engagement and democracy, will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights on leadership, public service, and empowering women in government.
Throughout the year-long Ms President US program, participants have developed their platforms, learned from influential guest speakers and elected officials, and gained confidence in their leadership abilities. The election event allows the audience to vote and determine the winners from each participating town.
"We are excited to provide this opportunity for girls to step into leadership roles and experience the electoral process firsthand," said Amanda Cordano, Executive Director. "By encouraging civic participation at a young age, we are helping to build the future leaders of our communities and beyond."
All are welcome to attend and support these inspiring young candidates. RSVP here.
