Ridgefield Inland Wetlands Board Overview

Split off from the Ridgefield Planning & Zoning Commission in 2019, the Inland Wetlands Board (IWB) is responsible for protecting Town wetlands and watercourses to ensure an adequate supply of clean water, control flooding and maintain habitat for animal, aquatic and plant life. It reviews development proposals and issues permits for regulated activities (such as excavation, filling or removal of soil, dredging or clear-cutting) adjacent to or within designated wetlands, streams and rivers. Susan Baker and Caleb Johnson will discuss how the IWB guides residents and businesses in complying with wetlands regulations. All are welcome to join us for this program at the Ridgefield Library on Wednesday, November 13th at 7:00 pm.  Please register.
