Vehicle Fire Spreads to Wilton Home, Quickly Contained by Firefighters

WILTON, CT — A vehicle fire on Pheasant Run Road spread to a nearby residence Friday afternoon, prompting an upgraded response from the Wilton Fire Department.

According to Wilton Fire Chief Jim Blanchfield, crews were dispatched at 3:09 p.m. on March 14 for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed that the fire had extended into the residence, escalating the alarm to a structure fire.

Firefighters quickly worked to contain the flames, preventing further damage to the home. Crews overhauled the affected area and ventilated the house to remove smoke. Station coverage was provided by the Weston Fire Department.

No civilian injuries were reported, though one firefighter sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wilton Fire Marshal’s Office.
