Why Small Businesses Matter in Wilton: Bangkok Republic

Local Business Champion: Bangkok Republic

Meet Jarupan Krairiksh, co-owner of Bangkok Republic in Wilton.

Why did you open Bangkok Republic?

In June of 2016, my sister, her husband, and I opened Bangkok Republic. Cooking has always been our passion and we always wanted to open an authentic Thai restaurant to showcase our unique food culture. We wanted to make people happy with our food and create a place to serve dishes made with the best quality ingredients in an informal and friendly environment. We try our best to stay true to our roots and use ingredients that are as authentic as possible. Many of our recipes are inherited from our grandmothers. Our menu is an example of how best to balance fresh ingredients with five fundamental tastes: bitter, sweet, sour, salty, and spicy!

Tell me about some of your customer favorites.

Here are some of our customers' favorite dishes: Bangkok Dumplings, Pork Spring Rolls, Money Bags, Pad Thai, Green Curry, Duck Curry, Mango Salmon, Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Tea
