Stonehenge Inn Sparkles With 21st AAA Four Diamond

The Stonehenge Inn of Ridgefield has earned its 21st AAA Four Diamond Award for its world-class service, facilities and amenities.

The achievement makes The Stonehenge Connecticut's record-holder for the AAA award which is considered the "Academy Awards" of the restaurant and hotel industry.

Stonehenge is also one of five Fairfield County restaurants that are now part of the region's sparkling new diamonds in the ring of outstanding restaurants and lodgings.

They include:

· The Hyatt Regency Greenwich, Old Greenwich, AAA's newest 'diamond' – a first-time Four Diamond winner;

· The Thomas Henkelmann restaurant and its sister property, The Homestead Inn, both of Greenwich, which have earned individual Four Diamonds for the 9th consecutive year;

· Rebeccas of Greenwich, which earned a Four Diamond for the 3rd consecutive year; and

· Delamar Southport, which also earned a Four Diamond for the 2nd consecutive year.

AAA's Four- and Five-Diamond award ratings are the travel authority's highest designations for properties and restaurants. Representing the upper echelon of the hospitality industry, the awards make up just 3.9% and 0.3%, respectively of the total 59,000 AAA approved and Diamond-rated lodgings and restaurants in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

AAA is now in its 77th year of conducting professional, in-person property inspections and publishing the results for member travelers. The Diamond ratings give travelers a reliable way to find hotels and restaurants that meet AAA's quality standards and provide the type of experience appropriate for their needs.
