WILTON HOCKEY HOMECOMING 2011 40TH ANNIVERSARY SALUTE TO THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF WILTON HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY
Wilton Hockey Boosters host holiday event to celebrate Warrior Hockey. On Friday, November 25th, the Wilton Hockey community commemorates the 40th Anniversary of Wilton High School Hockey. Past, present and future players take to the ice at the Winter Garden Arena in Ridgefield at 10:00 AM as the Wilton Hockey Booster Association hosts Wilton Hockey Homecoming 2011. This family-friendly event features the traditional Varsity vs. Alumni Game, an Alumni vs Alumni scrimmage, the first ever Girls Alumni Game, a special presentation of future Warrior players - Wilton youth hockey players with dreams of one day skating for the high school and a figure skating exhibition program by Wilton’s Christine Merolla. Christine, a U.S. Figure Skating Junior Ladies competitor, trains with The Skating Club of New York, and has recently competed in the 2012 North Atlantic Figure Skating Championships and the State Games of America in San Diego, CA, where she earned both bronze and gold medals. Christine is the sister of Paul Merolla, a WHS Senior and member of the Varsity squad and the niece of Wilton Hockey Alumnus, Bill Carroll ('75) from the first Wilton Hockey Club.
