Save the Date! The 2018 GET SMART FOR WILTON 5K is planned for Sunday, May 27 beginning at 9:00 am.
This chip-timed 5K race is open to parents, children, and community members and has become a must-run/walk event on Memorial Day weekend. It attracts runners of all levels, from elite racers to beginners, raising visibility and funds for Wilton Education Foundation (WEF), and promoting good health through a family-friendly event.
The fundraiser’s 5K route starts and ends at the Wilton High School track, featuring Cider Mill and Wilton High School prominently along the course. About 300 runners participate each year, making for a high-spirited and celebratory atmosphere. High school athletes join elite local runners, teachers, seniors, and moms and dads running with their kids and sometimes pushing jogging strollers, for the run.
