Wilton Police Receive Check from American Legion Post 86 for Special Olympics Fundraising Efforts

Yesterday Don Hazard (pictured right) and Tom Moore from American Legion Post 86 in Wilton Center presented Wilton Police Lieutenant David Hartman (pictured left) and Lieutenant Robert Kluk a check to assist them in their fundraising efforts for the Special Olympics Connecticut.

Lieutenant Hartman and Lieutenant Kluk will be joining Officers from 7 other police departments here in CT and NJ to hike to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania Africa next February in an effort to bring awareness to the athletes of the Special Olympics. It is being done to honor the sacrifices and mountains these athletes climb every day.

Those wishing to support the Special Olympics of CT as well as Dave and Rob can make a tax-deductible donation to the Special Olympics through this secure website. www.give.classy.org/wiltonpd We thank you for your support.
