Wilton Library Delivers Free Books to Seniors Isolated During Pandemic

Wilton Library provided large print books to three senior living facilities in Wilton today. The books are from the library’s book sale (which has been postponed until the fall).  Since the library is closed, seniors have not been able to get to the library. So the library decided to deliver the free books to them during the pandemic.

The photo shows Carmela Tornatore, Director of Recreation for The Greens at Cannondale, looks over a collection of books being delivered by Rich Hubli, building operations manager for Wilton Library.

The library put together the box of large print books from its book sale for residents of The Greens to enjoy while the library is closed. Books also were delivered to Brookdale Senior Living and Sunrise Senior Living, all in Wilton.
