Go Fund Me for DiRocco Family Reflects Outpouring of Support from Wilton Community

A Go Fund Me fundraising campaign has been launched on behalf of the DiRocco family of Wilton after the sudden passing of their son, George DiRocco, a 16-year-old student at Wilton High School.

Organized by a family member, thus far, only 21 since its launch, the campaign has raised over $62,000 from 588 donors. Thank you to the Wilton community for joining in solidarity to support the DiRocco family in the wake of this tragedy.

The Go Fund Me page states:

This fundraiser is for my bother Artie DiRocco and his family.  Artie and Deborah DiRocco have suffered the tragic, sudden and unexpected loss of their son George. George was a junior at Wilton HS, a born athlete, and an all-around wonderful young man who was loved by all who knew him. He was a shining star in our eyes and he was taken way too soon.

When a child is lost there are no words of comfort that can make it feel any less painful. We feel hopeless to help, but we can help by donating funds to cover the funeral and the family’s living expenses while they attempt to process this incomprehensible loss without the added worry of how they will be able to support their family.

I hope you can help and please pray for George and all whom he has left behind.

George passed suddenly due to an undetected heart condition. The funeral service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at 10:30 am Saturday, September 26th. The family will also hold a memorial service at a later date to honor George.
