Fairfield Museum and History Center invites the public to spend a fantastic evening at the Museum, Thursday, May 14, from 7-10 pm to celebrate the opening of IMAGES 2015 photography show and the solo exhibition of world-renowned photographer Howard Schatz.
One of the highlights of this year’s spring fundraiser, is the IMAGES Raffle, featuring a 2015 Vespa Primavera 50cc scooter as first prize and BMW Bikes for the family as the second prize. Tickets for the raffle are $25 each, on sale now at https://images2015.eventbrite.com. The drawing will take place during the Gala, May 14 and winners need not be present to win.
The Gala will kick off with a special, private, champagne tour of Howard Schatz: 25 Years of Images led by the renowned photographer from 6-7 pm for “Visionary” ticket holders. Starting at 7, the committee has organized a “not to be missed” evening including creative hors d'oeuvres by Festivities, wine, craft beer, the American Harvest martini bar, music, and a photo booth where guests can create their own images.
Guests will also be able to participate in a Fishbowl Raffle offering prizes such as a Colonial Cocktail Party in the historic Sun Tavern, a tour and tasting at Two Roads Brewery, tickets to the Late Show with Seth Meyers, a round of golf, show tickets and more. Howard Schatz, IMAGES 2015 featured photographer, is primarily known for his dynamic and intimate portraits of the human body, from newborns and mothers, to athletes and bodies underwater. His photographs have been featured in The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Time, and Life, among other publications, as well as displayed in museums and galleries worldwide.
