Starting A Business Workshop begins March 1 at The Wilton Library

Do you have what it takes to start and run a successful business?
 
Join us for breakfast on one, two, or all five consecutive Thursday mornings from 8:00am to 10:00am in the Brubeck Room to discover how to start a business, finance it, market and advertise it, and learn how to do business with the state of Connecticut and the federal government. The sessions will be presented by Lisa Powell and Tanisha Baptiste of the Small Business Administration (SBA).
 
The five sessions are as follows:
  • March 1: How to Start Your Own Business including topics such as choosing a business name/structure, licensing, registrations, etc.
  • March 8: ABCs of a Business Plan and Understanding a SWOT Analysis
  • March 15: How to Finance Your Small Business
  • March 22: Marketing and Advertising
  • March 29: Contracting 101
