Wilton Food Truck Festival

Where can you have a lobster roll, pierogi, fried green tomatoes and cheese steak sandwich (and more) all in one place?

Wilton Trackside Teen Center is hosting the Wilton Food Truck Festival on Sunday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Miller Driscoll School in Wilton. I've set the meeting time for the group as 1 p.m., but feel free to arrive before or after and look for us.

The event benefits the teen center, a safe alcohol and drug free facility where Wilton teens gather and socialize.

Enjoy food and drinks from nearly 20 trucks, browse the wares of 15 craft vendors and listen to live music on the Festival stage. Certain surprise superheroes will be onsite throughout the day (hopefully adding to the food truck excitement).

The food truck choices include hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, pierogis, falafel, Southern fare, lobster rolls, rice and beans, Asian delicacies, a Greek sampling, Mediterranean, exotic grilled cheese (who knew grilled cheese could be exotic?), cheese steak sandwiches and other surprises.

More than 15 vendors will sell their crafts and specialties including The Painted Cookie, Wanke’s Yankee hot pepper products, jewelry, signature style, molly and murphy dog treats and more.

Admission is $10 per car. We can figure out a meeting place before the event for anyone that wants to carpool there.
