Vaccinations for Adults and Children – Next Topic in Health Literacy Series presented by Wilton Library and Western Connecticut Health Network

“Vaccinations for Adults and Children” will be the next topic in the Health Literacy Series presented by Wilton Library and Western Connecticut Health Network. This program will take place on Monday, September 16, at 7:00 PM at Wilton Library.

Featured speakers are Dr. Jasmina Krstic, an internist with Wilton Primary and Specialty Care, and Heidi Steller, MSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, patient care director of Maternal/Child Health at Norwalk Hospital and Connecticut’s 2019 CDC Childhood Immunization Champion.

Dr. Krstic and Heidi will discuss the importance of immunizations (vaccinations) for adults and for children. Following their presentations, there will be a question and answer session moderated by Dr. Saras Nair, former chairman of the Department of Pathology at Norwalk Hospital, and a trustee of the Wilton Library.

About the Speakers

Dr. Jasmina Krstic is a graduate of the University of Nis Medical School, and completed her medical training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY. She recently joined Western Connecticut Medical Group after practicing in New York City the last five years. Dr. Krstic was an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital, and an internist/primary care physician in the Outpatient Clinic.

Heidi Steller, MSN, was recently honored with Connecticut’s 2019 Centers for Disease Control Childhood Immunization Champion Award. Heidi was recognized for leading public health and immunizations efforts for newborns at Norwalk Hospital. Prior to being appointed patient care director of Maternal/Child Health at Norwalk Hospital, Heidi was the clinical educator and perinatal safety nurse at Norwalk Hospital. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University, Fairfield CT.
