Wilton Go Green Announces Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic on Oct. 23

“Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic”, presented by Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library Association as part of the Wilton Go Green Green Speaker Series will take place on Wednesday, October 23. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film starts promptly at 7pm.

"Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?" is a 2010 American documentary film exposing the effects of plastic bags and other plastic consumer merchandise, and its effects on land ecosystems, the marine environment and the human body.

Brief Q&A following the film with Jeanine Behr Getz First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice, and others TBA.

About Our Speakers:

Jeanine Behr Getz is an author of the award-winning book Think Green! Guest writer and awareness advocate on environmental and human health issues. Owner of EcoGrowth Group consulting and founding member of BYO Greenwich and BYOCT.

Lynne Vanderslice is the first Selectwoman of Wilton. Her administration has implemented a number of environmental initiatives including the elimination of crumb rubber infill in municipal turf fields and a plan to meet 70% of town and school electricity needs through renewable sources before 2022.
