Wilton Library Announces Poetry Discussion with Janet Krauss on Sept. 22: The Poetry of Billy Collins

At 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, Janet Krauss will lead a Zoom a discussion of several poems by former Poet Laureate of the United States Billy Collins. The poems are all freely available on the website of the Poetry Foundation. Here are the titles: The Afterlife, Aimless Love, Books, Boyhood, Forgetfulness, and Introduction to Poetry. Janet Krauss - who has two books of poetry published, Borrowed Scenery and Through the Trees of Autumn - has recently retired from teaching English at Fairfield University. Her mission is to help and guide Bridgeport’s young children through her teaching creative writing, leading book clubs, and reading to and engaging a kindergarten class. As a poet, she co-directs the poetry program of the Black Rock Art Guild. She has been published five times in Amethyst Review.
