Wilton Library persents Disaster Preparedness: Plan Ahead on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5 – 6 p.m.

Wilton Library and Wilton’s Police and Fire Departments present a special online program on disaster preparedness and what you need to think about and do before the next major weather event. In the aftermath of Isaias, it’s essential for people to think through how to prepare for future storms.

The presenters, Police Chief John Lynch and Fire Chief Geoffrey Herald, will give the audience their experience-based advice as well as taking providing a checklist of important steps to take in advance of a major storm. They will also explain how best to cope with different kinds of weather events while they are happening and how to stay safe in a storm’s aftermath. Online registration is required in order to receive the Zoom invitation link. Questions may be submitted in advance to Michael Bellacosa at mbellacosa@wiltonlibrary.org.  The audience will be able to submit questions using Zoom’s chat function at the end of the presentation.
