Registration OPEN for Ridgefield Half Marathon and 7-Miler

Back for its 44th year, registration is now open for the Ridgefield Half Marathon and 7-Miler, which will be held on Sunday, October 17 at 7:45 AM. The iconic race will feature and benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield at 41 Governor Street, providing a “race central” for participants and spectators. The race will be led again this year by a vehicle from Pamby Motors, the title sponsor.

Ridgefield Running Company and Darien Running Company are offering a half marathon training program to get runners ready for the race. The 12-week program sponsored by HOKA starts on July 24th and is open to runners looking to complete their first or best half marathon. With long runs led by pace leaders every weekend, it’s a great way to train safely for covering 13.1 miles.

“The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield is excited to host the Ridgefield Half Marathon again this year. The race will help support our mission and provide a place for Ridgefield’s youth to participate in our award-winning programming. The race directly relates to one of our core values for sports, fitness and recreation, and we are excited to be the host and beneficiary for its 44rd year,” says Mike Flynn, BGCR’s Executive Director.
