Flower Show Comes to Wilton’s Old Town Hall This Weekend

e Wilton Garden Club invites the public to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a NGC Small-Standard Flower Show, A Century of Flowers in Fashion on Friday, September 24th from 1 pm to 4 pm and Saturday, September 25th from 10 am to 4 pm at Old Town Hall, 2 Belden Hill Lane, Wilton.

This is a judged show in which Wilton’s historic Old Town Hall will be transformed to showcase twenty-eight creative floral & botanical designs reflecting fashion in flowers in vogue from the Roaring Twenties when the club was founded, through the 80’s and present day. as well as Photography, Conservation, and local Horticulture exhibits with prime specimens from members’ gardens.

Wilton’s Green Teens youth gardeners and Wilton Girl Scouts will also take part in this show with their creations. “We are excited to celebrate our history in such a meaningful way with the community,” stated flower show Co-Chair Yolanda Bonomo who noted that Wilton Garden Club’s first flower show was held in 1922, one year after its founding.

The public is invited to experience this extraordinary creative and educational event and enjoy the colorful displays evoking the history of the Club throughout the decades. A $10 donation is suggested. Please park at 2 Belden Hill Lane which can be accessed from Belden Hill Road near the Ridgefield Road Intersection.
