Family & Children’s Agency Hosts Virtual Conversation

How Connecticut Is Moving Forward from the Pandemic Experience

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is hosting a virtual panel discussion and question and answer session on November 9 at noon to discuss how Connecticut is moving forward and the challenges that lay ahead.

Panelists Beth Bye, Commissioner of the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood, and Peter Denious, President and CEO of AdvanceCT, will join moderator Cheryl De Vonish, CEO of Norwalk Community College and member of FCA’s Board of Directors.

Without minimizing the loss of life over the last 18 months, Connecticut residents have reasons to be optimistic looking forward. We have been leaders among states in our delivery of health services, including vaccinations. We have welcomed new residents who have recognized our desirable geographic location and the unique access it affords to both major cities and abundant recreational activities.

However, challenges still remain for all of us, especially for the most vulnerable who continue to struggle with so many aspects of the COVID crisis. We desire and deserve access to top-quality jobs and essential social services, including education and training in order to compete and prosper in the years ahead.

This virtual panel discussion with three key leaders who are working to advance our state through employment, family strengthening, and education, promises to be an informative and well-rounded look at the state of our State.  All are welcome to join this no-cost event.
