Weekend Workshops – Paint Your Own Pumpkin at Wilton Historical Society

Prepare for Halloween by creating your very own decorated pumpkin! Jack-o’-lanterns carved from pumpkins are a Halloween tradition developed in the United States but traces its roots to the practice of root vegetable carving with them from Ireland.

A popular alternative way to celebrate Halloween and decorate pumpkins is to paint them with acrylics, creating brightly-colored gourds with fun, animated faces. On Saturday, October 22, from 11:00-12:00, Wilton Historical will be offering a pumpkin-painting workshop for kids. Attendees will be provided their own sugar pumpkin and paints to craft their own Halloween masterpiece.

Suggested for ages 6 – 10. Members: $10 per child; Non-members $15 per child.
