“Five Guys” Exhibition Reception

You are invited to an opening reception for a new exhibition of five area artists: Daniel Angeles (Danbury), Bill Fulton (Wilton), Ed MacEwen (Wilton), Norm Siegel (Norwalk), and Dennis Stevens (Norwalk). The works represent a wide variety of styles, media, and subject matter. Free and open to the public. Most of the works will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the library. On view through Nov 30th.

The UU Players present “Miss You" by David Auburn, exploring the tangled webs we weave with the aid of telephones; "Baby Food" and "Crazy Eights," both by David Lindsey-Abaire, highlight the extreme and bizarre lengths people will go to in order to get what they want; "Sure Thing" by David Ives proves that when it comes to connection, it's all in the timing. Get ready to laugh! 

Author Talk with UFO Expert Ralph Blumenthal

Come and hear the award-winning reporter who co-authored the explosive story in the New York Times that created a new enthusiasm for UFOs worldwide: “Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program.” In June 2023, Blumenthal co-authored the article “Intelligence Officials Say U.S. Has Retrieved Craft of Non-Human Origin,” which led to a bipartisan Congressional hearing on Capitol Hill.

“Take A Step Back” Music Of The Grateful Dead

An evening of live music featuring uplifting rhythms, unique song forms, organic harmonic progressions and often-cryptic storytelling. Bandleader and guitarist Michael-Louis Smith and “Take A Step Back” return to the Carriage Barn to perform the music of The Grateful Dead. Two talents not to be missed! Wilton residents Ralph Kirmser (oboe) and Kyong Hee Cho (piano) will perform Fantasy Pieces by Carl Nielsen, Three Romantic Pieces by Leopold Wallner, as well as piano solos by Franz Liszt and Frederic Chopin. Ralph Kirmser has been oboist for the Madera Winds Quintet, the Prevailing Winds of Connecticut, and Morningside Wind Quintet of New York City. Kyong Hee Cho began her piano career in Korea at the age of four and gave her first concert piano performance with the Seoul Symphony at the age of eleven.
