Trackside Teen Center is offering a beginner’s Irish Dance class for older teens (ages 16 and up) and adults on Tuesday evenings, from 7:45 to 8:45, October 25th through November 29th. Students will learn the basics of Irish Dance in a fun and comfortable setting with Riverdance stars Meghan Lucey and Stephen Brennan. There is no need to purchase new dance shoes, but comfortable clothes and sneakers are recommended. Registration is available online at www.trackside.org. A class fee of $120 ($20 per class) may also be submitted online.

Meghan Lucey’s professional career began when she joined the cast of Riverdance in 2007. She has toured with Riverdance extensively for an impressive 9 years throughout North America, Europe and Asia and lists her personal highlights as performing at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, NBC’s Riverdance on Ice, and CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden in Los Angeles. Meghan was also the Dance Captain for Ireland the Show, the Principle Dancer in the Busch Gardens show Celtic Fyre, and featured on NBC’s America’s Got Talent as part of Hammerstep.

Stephen Brennan began dancing at the age of 12 in Essex, England. Seven years later, Stephen was named as the World Champion after winning every major title within An Coimisiún by the age of 19, proving it’s never too late to start Irish dancing. Highlights of his professional career include several touring companies of Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Celtic Tiger and Heartbeat of Home. He lists one of his most memorable performances as his appearance with Michael Flatley on ABC's Dancing With The Stars in 2007.
