<p>According to the National Weather Service (NWS) residents of Fairfield County can expect period of hot and humid weather to extend into Tuesday, August 7.</p>
<p>Today, Sunday, August 5, heat indices are expected to reach the mid to upper 90s. On Monday, August 6, our area may see 100 degree heat indices.&nbsp;</p>
