Road Clearing/Power Restoration

• As of 10:00 p.m. last night, Monday, August 10. 1,045 residents had their power restored since last night’s update. 1,746 or 23% still remain without power. 
• The largest outage cluster is 353 customers on the Nod Hill line.  The line runs the length of Nod Hill, Whipstick, Olmstead and along most connecting roads. The line had a number of downed poles. Eversource is showing an ETR of tomorrow. 
• The two heavily damaged power centers in Weston appear to have been repaired.  Localized issues continue to cause outages along those circuits. 
• The Eversource outage map was down for most of the last night but has now been restored. 
• Significant progress was made on blocked roads and shared driveways 
• Both DPW and Eversource will return later to deal with debris and old wires and poles. 
• Optimum and Frontier continue to be seen working in town.

Cooling Center:  Wilton High School Field House is open as a cooling center tomorrow.  

• Hours are 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
• Walk-in or sign up on e-trak for a 2-hour time period.  (On e-Trak, click rentals, click reservations).
• Maximum 50 people. 25 slots per time period reserved for walk-ins.
• Must be a Wilton resident.
• Must wear a mask or face covering.
• Must complete a short form (name, address, phone #, emergency contact name and #).
• No food can be brought in, water is OK.
• Tables and chairs provided.
• Bathrooms available, no showers.

Water:  Potable water available at Fire Headquarters 24/7.  Distribution from front (non-Town Hall side of the building).   

WiFi/Charging at Comstock:  Please see details below.  

Outdoor WiFi:  Back of Town Hall, outside all schools,  Comstock and the Library.   The password for all town and school buildings is Warrior1. No password is required for the Library.

August 11^th Primary:  Three polling locations are open between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  Find your poll location here. A sample ballot is available here.  Additional information is available here. Absentee ballots must be returned no later than 8:00 p.m. on August 11^th.  Ballots can be placed in the secure ballot box located outside Police Headquarters.

The CT Data Center reported the following for Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. August 9^th and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

• 243 cases, 36 additional since June 16^th and 43 since May 19^th.
• 2,954 residents tested, 1,804 since June 16^th and 2,204 since May 19^th.
• 3,937 tests performed, 2,485 since June 16^th .
• 42 deaths, 1 since June 16^th and 5 since May 19^th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. August 6^th:

• 18,035 cases, 1,654 additional since 6/16      50,567 cases, 5,138 additional since 6/16
• 1,409 deaths, 57 additional since 6/16           4,444 deaths, 225 additional since 6/16
• 21 hospitalized, 47 less than 6/16                   64 hospitalized, 122 less than 6/16
