Wilton COVID Update: New Case, Executive Order 9A, Case Data

In her most recent update (late last night, Tuesday, Sept. 8), Wilton First Selectwoman Lynn Vanderslice reported the following:

  • Wilton: 1 new case. 
  • Statewide:  417 new cases. .85% of tests performed reported positive.
  • Hospitalized Patients: Statewide, 8-net patients decrease. Fairfield County, 6-net patient decrease.
  • Deaths: Statewide, 6 deaths  Fairfield Country, 2 deaths.

Governor Lamont today signed Executive Order No. 9A , which renews and extends to November 9, 2020 all of the unexpired executive orders and all unexpired orders, rules, regulations, directives, or guidance issued by any official, agency, department or municipality.

There are now 34 states plus Guam on the Connecticut Travel Advisory list.  If you are traveling outside of Connecticut, please review the list and requirements.  The list is updated on Tuesdays.

When submitting an application for the November 3rd election, please ensure that the application submitted is for that election.  Applications for the August 11th primary cannot be used to obtain a ballot for the November election. 

Detailed Case Data:

The CT Data Center reported the following for Wilton as of 8:30 p.m. September 3rd and versus the dates prior to the start of Phase 1 and Phase 2:

  • 252 cases, 45 additional since June 16th and 52 since May 19th.
  • 3,807 residents tested, 2,657 since June 16th and 3,057 since May 19th.  
  • 5,288 tests performed, 3,836 since June 16th .
  • 42 deaths, 1 since June 16th and 5 since May 19th.

CT DPH reported the following for Fairfield County and Statewide as of 8:30 p.m. September 3rd:

  • 19,135 cases, 2,754 additional since 6/16      53,782 cases, 8,353 additional since 6/16
  • 1,417 deaths, 65 additional since 6/16           4,474 deaths, 255 additional since 6/16
  • 8 hospitalized, 60 less than 6/16                     50 hospitalized, 136 less than 6/16
