Despite viral campaign, Wilton's Thumbelina still needs a home

Thumbelina is the pint-sized pup with a big personality who has spent most of her life in a shelter. Her caretakers at Adopt-a-Dog in Armonk can’t imagine why the sweet 2-year-old isn't adopted after more than 550 days!

Neither can the folks at Wilton’s Canine Company. That why they launched a social media campaign in October to highlight the dog’s light. Although the story has been shared almost 4000 times and there’s been an outpouring of online love for Thumbelina, she’s still without a family.

Says adoption coordinator Kelly Dugan of Adopt-a-Dog: “With her looks, personality and smarts, Thumbelina will make an awesome pet for some family. We can’t believe we haven’t found the right match for her yet.”

Hoping to help Thumbelina finds a forever home soon, Canine Company put together an adoption package valued at over $3000.  In addition to covering adoption fees, it includes a fully installed Invisible Fence®Brand system, at-home obedience training, two visits from its mobile grooming van and a go-home goody basket filled with toys and treats. For more details on the adoption package, visit Canine Company’s Facebook page.
