“Some patients lose their hair during cancer treatment, which can be emotional and difficult, along with added stress,” according to Maribel Palacios Perez, Mission Delivery Manager for the American Cancer Society. “Getting a wig is one way to cope with hair loss and may help the patient look and feel their best during treatment,” she added.

New wigs are offered at no cost to patients without insurance or with inadequate insurance to cover the cost of purchasing a wig.  The Society helps people with cancer through their journey through many programs and services.
