Wilton Dance Studio Dancers Win 1st Place!

Our dance team participated in a competition this past weekend at the University of Bridgeport. The event organization was Groove. One of their Duets came in 1^st place, as did one of our group dances.

The duet is Alpha, performed by Stacia Dooley (8^th grader at Middlebrook) and Fiona Conway (freshman as Wilton High School). It was a fierce and athletic acro piece about life struggles choreographed by Mickey Lonsdale, founding member of Aura Curiatlis Physical Theater.

The group dance that won 1^st place was a joyful celebration dance called Roll Over Beethoven (Beetles) choreographed by Westonite, Bella Randazzo.

In the group photo the dancers from left to right are: Sarah Wohlford & Kaitlyn Wohlford (freshmen at Weston High School), Stacia Dooley (8^th grader at Middlebrook), Angela Pacheco (freshman at Immaculate in Danbury), Fiona Conway (freshman at Wilton) and Christina Colin (junior at Ridgefield High School). Christina was also presented with a scholarship for a fall convention.
