Any place in town where you go for inspiration and creativity?
There are so many wonderful places in Wilton to go for peace, creativity and inspiration. Most of all, I love my own backyard. I feel at one with nature as the blend of my own creativity and nature's bounty is expressed in the landscape. It is serene. I hear and see the birds - doves, hawks, blue jays and cardinals as they fly up and over the trees and I listen to the scurrying animals. This brings me to my heart so I can hear my soul.
Where do you see creativity when you shop locally?
Wilton has many unique and creative businesses. Local Soul in Wilton is a wonderful shop that brings fine merchandise made by people in the community and in neighboring areas. It really does carry the heart of Wilton and is properly named. The shop brings color, flavor and uniqueness that cannot be found in department stores. It is a great place to browse or to purchase that special gift. Local Soul also sells wonderful shoes!!
Is there an organization in town that makes you feel good?
The Newcomers Club in Wilton has survived through the decades. It is a throwback to the old charm of New England and its hospitality. I love that new people can move into this wonderful town and immediately make friends and feel welcome. The Newcomer's Club is a club that I joined when I moved here over 20 years ago. It helped me settle into my home with others who were doing the same.
