Wilton’s Vaccine Team, COVID Testing in Town on Friday, Step Up Connecticut

Wilton’s Vaccine Team is busy with plans as to how the Town will provide vaccinations.  The Team includes employees from the Town and Visiting Nurses of  Fairfield County, which serve as Wilton’s public health nurses.

Last night the Board of Selectmen authorized me to execute the necessary documents with the Center for Disease Control to allow the Town to be a vaccine provider.  An overview of the State Plan is available here.  More detailed plans will be forthcoming.

Instructions for how to sign up for Friday’s COVID-19 PCR testing at Comstock are available here.  Residents requiring financial assistance should contact Social Services Director Sarah Heath at sarah.heath@wiltonct.org

Step Up Connecticut is looking for healthy and able residents, 18+ years old to step up and help.  Needed are substitute teachers, testing site volunteers, nursing home and hospital workers and help with food distribution. You can learn more here
