Make College Connections: Wilton Resident Geroge Copley Co-founder of The College T

Wilton and Redding Residents Co-founders of The College T - Learn About a College/University From a Local Who Knows!

About a year ago, at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Amanda Duffy, a Redding resident, shared a document that provided a place where local college students and grads could volunteer to speak to local high school students about colleges they were interested in attending.

In light of the pandemic, and the cancellation of college tours, this document served as a wonderful resource for high schoolers and their families. Since then, Amanda and Wilton resident Geroge Copley have been working with a few other locals on building a FREE website called The College T.

The College T currently has over 400 student ambassadors representing over 150 colleges that are willing to speak to high schoolers for free!

If you have a current college student or high school student in your life, please have them check out www.thecolleget.com to see if there are ambassadors they can speak to. This is the easiest way to get unbiased information about schools they are interested in.

The website is easy to use with a simple 3-step process.

1. Search your school. Use the search bar above to look up College T ambassadors. We’re constantly updating our database with new college students and alumni ready to share their college experiences.

2. Find a College T Ambassador. Once you’ve selected the school you’re interested in learning more about, browse the various College T ambassadors and pick who you’d like to speak to.

3. Get in Touch. Create an account to contact a College T Ambassador. They’ll receive a notification and reach out to you over email or phone to figure out the best time to chat about their college experience.
