Darien Bridal Business is Showered with Awards

The honeymoon is not over for Ashley Krauss, owner of Darien’s A Little Something White Bridal Couture, located at 1292 Boston Post Road. In September 2015, A Little Something White will turn three. Krauss has made several smart business moves to keep this boutique on an upward trajectory--such as giving other Darien businesses exposure when she’s hosted events. Her savvy got her voted in as one of Fairfield County’s 40 Business People Under 40 in 2014. Brains are only part of the reason why A Little Something White is doing well—hearts are other part. The genuine, caring customer service is unparalleled, creating a bridal experience that leaves women feeling happy and confident. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished as we approach our three-year anniversary,” notes Krauss. “Our success is truly a group effort and I am consistently thankful for the dedication of my team in carrying out the mission I set forth when we opened in 2012.”

As all of Krauss’ July and August brides are anticipating their big moment in their beautiful gowns, she is thrilled about being selected as one of Brides Magazines Best Bridal Salons in America. “This award is so meaningful to us because we were selected—as one of 50 bridal stores in the U.S.-- as a result of what our brides said about their experience at A Little Something White. This award serves as validation that the consistent hard work and passion we put into our brides and their experience has had a meaningful impact. While I had high aspirations for what A Little Something White would accomplish in the world of bridal fashion, to be given this type of accolade, only a couple years in business, is humbling to us.”

Other bridal media outlets are also taking note of what makes A Little Something White so special. ALSW won The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2015, and Wedding Wire’s Couple’s Choice Award 2015. The local media has also crowned Krauss with Best Bridal Store in their Best of Gold Coast 2015 Awards.

What’s next for this bustling bridal boutique?  Krauss promises that the future is very exciting. “This fall we will be welcoming our newest designer, one of Israel’s top bridal designers, Mira Zwillinger. We are so excited to bring her exquisite gowns to our brides.” Krauss tries to keep her collection of gowns fresh, expanding her 2015 product offering to include Heidi Elnora, in addition to the many fantastic designers she already carefully curated.  Krauss also added Kelly Faetanini and Jim Hjelm Occasions as bridesmaids’ designers. Visit www.alittlesomethingwhite.com for a complete listing of the designers you’ll find in the boutique.

Krauss has other news to share. “We are starting to think about expansion opportunities within the town of Darien, as we would love to grow the physical size of our space. And as always, we are exploring ways to elevate the customer experience to something extraordinary!”  Krauss feels enormous gratitude toward the Town of Darien. “I will forever be grateful to the wonderful Darien community for the support I’ve received over the last three years. I feel so fortunate that my business set its roots in this wonderful town.” To set up an appointment for brides or bridesmaids, call 203-309-5110.
