JoyRide to Offer Personalized Summer Wellness Program in Ridgefield, Wilton, Darien Studios

JoyRide's Nine-Week Program Runs from June 26 to August 21 June 19, 2017

For many people, the last day of school marks the last day of working out and healthy eating routines. JoyRide Cycling + Fitness Studio, the premier fitness boutique dedicated to high-end indoor cycling and cross-training floor classes, aims to make it easier for people to stay on a healthy track by launching a unique Summer Wellness Program. Led by wellness experts/coaches Pam Byrne and Erin Wathen in JoyRide’s Ridgefield, Darien and Wilton studios, the 9-week program consists of holistic health coaching, curated workshops, support and unlimited JoyRide classes. The series will run from June 26 to August 21.

“Between school being out, backyard BBQs and beach traffic, summer can wreak havoc on our health and wellness routines. We created a summer wellness program so we can guide people with education, support and useful tools such as meal planning, exercise on-the-go, mindfulness, group support and weekly virtual meetings,” said Byrne. “Erin and I will get you to Labor Day feeling your best.” Added Wathen: “Because the program is virtual in part, participants can partake in it even while traveling.”

In addition, the program is highly individualized yet is designed to build a fun, team-like feel among participants, who will be connected via Facebook groups where participants can share updates, plan to meet for classes and build camaraderie around their collective goal.

The cost of the Summer Wellness Program is $499 for nine weeks ($8 a day for 63 days) and includes the following:

• Unlimited JoyRide classes

• Holistic health coaching

• 3 curated workshops prioritizing mind/body, self-care and nutrition (on-site at JoyRide Wilton, Darien, Ridgefield) • Exercise suggestions for traveling clients

• Private Facebook groups to provide support and community

• Weekly “Zoom” calls for personalized guidance • Recommendations for simple summer meal planning and grocery shopping strategies • Mindfulness techniques

• Program contest “While the summer months should be more carefree, they shouldn’t be unhealthy,” said JoyRide coowner Rhodie Lorenz. “Thankfully, we’ve teamed up with Pam and Erin who can help guide our JoyRiders beyond the studio walls.”

Byrne is has a Master’s Degree in counseling and a degree from the Integrative Institute for Nutrition. Wathen is a Holistic Health Coach and Food Abuse Counselor, as well as a fitness instructor for Spinning, Pilates, yoga and TRX.
