RVNA Wins Top Workplaces Award for the Seventh Time

For the 7th time since 2011, RVNA has received a Top Workplaces award from Hearst Connecticut Media. The award is given to local companies that lead the way in workplace culture based on employee surveys. At RVNA, those employees include clinical staff -- such as nurses, rehab therapists, and home health aides -- as well as non-medical caregivers and administrative staff. RVNA falls into the mid-sized company category which includes companies with between 100 and 999 employees.

“RVNA has been caring for our community since 1914,” says, RVNA President and CEO, Theresa Santoro. “Our ability to sustain the quality of care we provide is directly related to the excellence of our employees, who really are the heart of our organization. The more we support them in their roles – with training, an atmosphere of teamwork and respect, and a fabulous work environment – the more they succeed. It’s so gratifying to hear that they continue to feel valued and appreciated at RVNA.”

The Top Workplaces award is given to an average of only 50 companies per year. To be considered, a company must be located in Fairfield, Litchfield, or New Haven County, have at least 35 employees, and be nominated for the award by a current employee. Company employees then complete a 24-question survey on their organization after which results are tabulated and prizes awarded.

“Earning the Top Workplaces title is something everyone at RVNA is very proud of,” says Kelly Klein, RVNA Director of Human Resources. “Knowing that this is the result of our own employees expressing their appreciation makes it that much more meaningful.”

RVNA was also named a Hearst Connecticut Media Top Workplace in 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. In addition to enjoying a motivating and rewarding workplace, RVNA employees receive a full range of benefits including: medical and dental insurance, company-paid life insurance, a retirement plan with generous matching contributions, flexible work arrangements, training, agency laptops and cell phones.
