Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community, brought to you by Fairfield County Bank

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT AMG Catering and Events!

Three questions with Alison Milwe Grace, owner of AMG Catering and Events.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I had worked in the restaurant business for years as a chef and wanted to be my own boss and always dreamed of having a catering company.

Best selling product or service?

There isn’t a best selling product in the catering world. However, I am known for “shrinking food”. Talking a classic dish and shrinking it down into a bite-size appetizer. I'm also known for my sauces and vinaigrette/dressings.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business and can you name them?

I use as many local businesses as I can including, Signature Style, Michelina's Bakery, The Painted Cookie, Wilton Stop and Shop, Earth Garden, the Shell Station, Village Market (to name a few!).
