High Schoolers Can Experience Winter Farming at Ambler Farm

Ambler Farm Hosts High School Maple Sugaring Program

This unique program provides high school aged students an opportunity to experience winter farming. Students will help tap trees and collect sap on the farm and around the community, as well as run the evaporator in Ambler Farm’s sugar shack to make maple syrup. Lots of weekend opportunities to get involved as well as some weekday afternoons. There are no set times for this program as it is truly weather dependent. We collect sap only when it is running. We boil sap to make syrup when we have sap to boil. Attendance is flexible.
The program starts in late-January and runs through mid-March (weather depending). Cost: $100 per student
