Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story.
You're IT Integrative Counseling and Wellness Group.
Three questions with Niro Satchi Feliciano, co-founder of Integrative Counseling and Wellness Group.
Why did you start your business?
Dr. Lisa Fraidin and I started our group to meet the ever-increasing counseling need in our area and to take the guesswork out of finding a solid, experienced and personable provider. We asked several practitioners who we knew had excellent training and experience to join us in our newly renovated, welcoming space. In one convenient location, we collectively treat a broad range of mental health and nutrition issues which makes it easy for patients to find all they need in one space to meet their counseling needs.
How many people do you employ?
We have a total of 11 practitioners and treat from anxiety and depression in kids and adults, ADHD, parenting issues, couples counseling, nutrition counseling and services, life transitions and goal development.
We use several local businesses including our cleaning services, heat, and air conditioning. We are very grateful, however, to Dr. Steve Giannoutsos, of Georgetown Orthodontics, who encouraged Lisa and me to buy the building, renovate and start this group.
