You’re IT Naked Greens!

Three questions with Victor Melendez, owner of Naked Greens.

Why did you start your business?

I always wanted to do something on my own and one day I finally made the decision that it was “now or never”. I was working in the city at the time and experienced the popularity and convenience of quick service healthy food restaurants and realized that it was much harder to find such places out here in the suburbs. Also, right about that same time, I came across a news segment that dove into the success of such places in other metropolitan areas and the role they were playing in helping people eat better and heartier. I was immediately inspired by what I saw and experienced while working in the city and decided "it was time” for me, not only because I was ready to jump in, but also because this was very much aligned with the way I eat and live my life. I did some research, looked at food and consumer trends as well as the competitive landscape, crunched some numbers (lot’s of numbers) and then created my business plan, which resulted in the creation of the Naked Greens concept, a quick service restaurant that offers premium, healthy, all-natural fresh food in a casual and friendly environment.
