Step inside Optimal Physical Therapy & Performance!

Three questions with Craig Spann, founder of Optimal Physical Therapy & Performance.

What do you want the community to know? Are there ways for the community to help you and other local businesses to prosper?

Small businesses are a staple of what makes Wilton a great place to live. The best way the community can help is to make sure they continue to frequent their favorite local businesses. There are a lot of great businesses and services that can help people get through these difficult times. We are proud to be a local Wilton business and we are happy to help collaborate with other local businesses to keep this community flourishing. In a world where people spend their lives video conferencing, Optimal Physical Therapy and Performance is here to counteract those guaranteed aches and pains.

Are you offering any new products or ways for customers to purchase your products or services that are popular during this crisis?

We offer both in-person and online therapy sessions. The online sessions allow people to get continued treatment without needing to leave their homes.

One thing that has been a big hit for patients is our injury assessment package. Basically, we offer an in-person assessment of any injury, ache, or pain that someone may be having with a full explanation of what is going on, why they have the issue they do, and what to do about it. The beauty is that we give people a list of exercises on how to fix their injury themselves at home. This allows people to do most of the work to fix themselves without needing as many in-person physical therapy treatments.

Please share the ways your business is adapting to keep your customers and employees safe in addition to the standard guidelines

Since Optimal Physical Therapy and Performance was founded, we have always seen patients one-on-one. This has allowed us to continue seeing patients throughout the pandemic without patient crossover. Physical Therapy businesses are not required to see patients one-on-one, but we continue to hold ourselves to a higher standard. We will continue to follow any protocols as well as individual requests that may help patients feel safe. We will always put our patients first.
