Summer Camp Returns to Ambler Farm

While we still have more than a foot of snow on the ground, Ambler Farm wants you to think about Summer!

Summer Adventures on the Farm, Ambler’s Day Camp, is back for 2021 with new themes, new programming, new activities, and lots of fun for children ages 4-13. Ambler Farm is now taking registrations at www.amblerfarm.org.

Spending time with the goats, sheep, and pigs is a favorite activity, along with checking the nesting boxes for eggs. Baby chicks, turkeys, geese and rabbits provide engaging opportunities for kids to interact and learn. Plus, depending upon the week, your child will harvest berries, peas, cucumbers, garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, or more.

“Ambler Farm’s unique Summer Camp program provides your child with opportunities to experience farm life and to connect with the land, our animals, and each other in ways that create lasting memories,” said Stacey Valimont, Ambler Farm’s Director of Programming/Camp Director. “We want our campers to discover new skills by trying new activities, to build friendships and healthy relationships with each other, and to find a place where they belong.”

Each week includes woodworking, hayrides, and harvesting. Your child will cook each day with recipes that are inspired by what is growing in Ambler’s gardens. Every week includes a new theme, around which they center many activities.

  • Week A    June 14th (Preschool only)  Explore the Farm
  • Week 1    June 21st  Things with Wings
  • Week 2    June 28th  Red, White & Blue
  • Week 3    July 5th  A Bug’s Life
  • Week 4    July 12th  Go Green
  • Week 5    July 19th  What’s Growing On?
  • Week 6    July 26th  Animals Abound
  • Week 7    August 2nd  Pollinators on the Pathway
  • Week 8    August 9th  Full STEAM Ahead

“We are so thrilled to be introducing new theme weeks,” said Valimont. “The goal of our educational programs is simply to let children learn by doing. All activities encourage engagement, hands-on when possible, whether it’s with the land, the food, the animals, the history, or with other people.”

Registration is open now at www.amblerfarm.org. Weekly sessions are $340 for members of Friends of Ambler Farm or $390 for non-members. Camp runs from 9:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M. daily.
