You're IT Dampits International!

Three questions with Tair Hollander, co-owner of Dampits International.

Why did you start your business?

The inception of Dampit was deeply rooted in the Hollander family's century-long association with music. The creation of Dampit by Ralph Hollander was driven by the family's profound understanding of the importance of instrument care. Their personal experiences as musicians highlighted the need for a reliable solution to protect string and wood instruments against dry weather, leading to the development of Dampit's innovative humidifiers.

What is your best-selling product/service?

While Dampit boasts a diverse range of products, their flagship humidifiers for string instruments like violins, cellos, and basses are particularly renowned. These products have gained widespread acclaim and endorsement from professional musicians globally, underlining their effectiveness in preserving the sound quality and longevity of delicate wood instruments.

Have you reimagined your small business?

The evolution of Dampit over the years is a testament to its dynamic approach to business. With a history spanning over four decades, the company has continuously adapted and reimagined its strategies and product offerings to meet the changing needs of musicians and the evolving music industry. This adaptability is a core part of Dampit's philosophy, guided by the Hollander family's deep understanding of the music world and the needs of its clientele.
