During his news conference yesterday, Governor Ned Lamont said that while the numbers in Connecticut are trending in the right direction with COVID cases and hospitalizations down significantly, he will not move forward with Phase 3 which would have opened bars and increased the number of people allowed to be both inside and outside of restaurants and other gathering places.
Lamont said, "Let's not get too big for our britches". He referred to Arizona, Florida, and Texas states that are now seeing surges of COVID cases after opening bars.
