Letter: Rev. Dr. Harry Pappas Recommends Annie Chochos to Wilton BOE

To the Editor:

I am writing to recommend Annie Chochos, without reservation, for the Wilton Board of Education. I have been privileged to know Annie for 10 years since she joined our parish in connection with her marriage to Lou.  Even before she moved here from Long Island, I began to notice her sincere devotion to Christ and the Church that emerged from a wonderful upbringing with strong family roots matched by her own initiative in the business world.

Her involvement has not only been regular attendance for Sunday worship and fellowship, but extends far beyond to adult education of the faith, Church School, leadership in Greek School, extensive contributions to Youth Ministry (of different age groups), sincere care for the elderly, and the Ladies Philoptochos, our women’s auxiliary, that ministers to the poor and needy.

In the context of interacting with her in so many capacities, I have discerned her passionate concern for the education of children due to her extensive involvement in the Wilton PTA for years and candid conversations we have had about the pressing issues that schools are now facing.  Her passion and advocacy for the public education of children is remarkable.

If elected, I have every confidence that Annie will be a very active, contributing member of the Board for the common good of all.

Sincerely,

Rev. Dr. Harry Pappas
