Wilton Police arrest 17 year old in connection with neighborhood car burglaries

On March 16, 2018 during the overnight hours the Town of Wilton experienced a rash of car burglaries in residential neighborhoods throughout the Town to include twenty-two (22) vehicles entered, two (2) attempts to enter vehicles, and one (1) stolen vehicle. Various items were stolen from entered vehicles to include credit cards belonging to a victim that were subsequently used fraudulently to make several purchases. As a result of an extensive investigation, several suspects were identified.

On June 26, 2018 a JUVENILE from New Haven, CT who was 17 years of age at the time of the incident was arrested and charged for the above charges. The JUVENILE was issued a Juvenile Summons to appear at the Superior Court of Juvenile Matters in New Haven, CT.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
